Rather than show 1/2 a fish or 1/2 a croissant; use a "sliding scale" where you see either a fish consuming a particular percentage of the croissant - or a croissant consuming a certain percentage of the fishbones. Baked I think but worth a shot. (?) Mozilla and favicons

[blainez], here's a suggestion: Write a dissertation on why it is that newbies always want to change the 1/2B before they even begin to learn what it is about. |

What if the vote is split 50/50? |

Then you have a picture of a white cat in a blizzard. |

Hm. I wonder if Halfbakery should have a croissant favicon.ico that will show up in favorites lists? |
|
| |
Small, often unassuming work of art depicting an item of religious or spiritual significance, usually itself sacred?

Me too...I did one for my site, but it seems to have stopped working <grumble> |
|
| |
Oh no! Not a bug in a Microsoft product! Say it isn't so! <grin> |
|
| |
Yeah, if you refresh it the right way <by dragging the icon from the left side of the address bar a little to the right and letting it go, 8 or 9 times> it usually recovers. |
|
| |
I'm sure an icon for the Halfbakery could be done, and if someone who has actual artistic ability is interested, I can point you to the how of it. It has to be 256 color and 16 pixels square. |
|
| |
I could do it if I wanted to, but I really don't see the point of encouraging a Microsoft-specific extension (they came up with this, right?) that doesn't even work. |
|
| |
I don't know if MS came up with favicons but I think they were the first to support them (and they are in the MS .ico file format). Oddly enough they are buggy only in IE. Mozilla and Netscape support them as does Konqueror. Don't know about whether the Opera browser supports them or not. |
|
| |
Nah [bristolz] Opera brands everything Opera-y. |
|
| |
We now have a favicon.ico. (I was
learning how to produce one for
another site, and all new skills must be
applied everywhere immediately...)
If you are an iconographer yourself and
would like to donate an
improvement, send me e-mail. |

Just noticed it then I read this idea. |
