One of the smarter companies that make air conditioners should come up with a model that has a carbon monoxide detector built into it. That way in addition to just sounding an alarm it could start pumping fresh air into the house. Even if this happened in winter, when it's most likely to occur, getting
a little cold in exchange for loosing a bit of grogginess would be worth the trade. Carbon monoxide poisoning

I think you may be referring to carbon dioxide (unless of course you have a car running in the room...). |
|
| |
Many air-con systems in buildings actually have CO2 detectors, as per your idea. |

So, excellent idea, but already baked. |

He means Carbon Monoxide. |
|
| |
We 'bakers know the difference between carbon monoxide and dioxide. |
|

In many places, you can buy carbon monoxide detectors, because (for some reason unknown to me) monoxide can seep into your house (I dont know where from...) and........ <ghurk!> |

Quite expensive but intrinsically logical. |
|
| |
Carbon monoxide can easily escape from gas-fired heating systems. |

At least you die with rosy red lips and high spots of colour in your cheeks. |
