Most people have written something that is of worth or interest in their lives whether its a novel that you never had the time to finish writing, an unsent letter your boss explaining in detail why he should go @#$% himself, an opening statement for an essay that you think is brilliant but never finished
because you cant for the life of you find anything that is catching enough to conclude with.
Ideas wouldnt be rated, unoriginal works would be deleted and originals would stay. And of course there would be the option to annotate so you could offer advice on how the writing could progress or help with editing and grammar.
Perhaps as an added benifit you could swap your unfinished work with people. You could swap your the letter you'd just love to send to you boss to someone who is planning on quitting, and they could give you an highly original character for that book youve been meaning to write.

Is there a [Somecategory:Story/ Novel/ Book Ideas] category of some sort? If not I think that would be really awesome. |

I've had several stories I've been trying to do something with, but am still workin' on the characters. I'd support this, but perhaps on a different site. It's liable to get pretty long, 'specially if you've all written as much as I have. Do we want permanent storage or more temporary discussions? If the latter perhaps alt.halfbakery (or equivalent) would do. |

Saving space would be a problem.. Perhaps a person could only have one piece of their writing on the website at a time? I suppose each piece of writing would only need enough time to be edited and/or responded to, after which the user can leave it up or delete it and submit something else. |
