Often while listening to an MP3 player the headphone wire, which is dangling, picks up some static electricity. This often results in a series of shocks to the inner ears. These sometimes feel as if they penetrate deeper into the head, wherein the brain is contained.
For this reason, it is probably
a good idea to propose Antistatic Headphones. These headphones would have certain modifications to stop the conduction of static electricity within them.
Modifications would best be made to the earpiece (earbuds), although a breaker of sorts could section off the cord to limit static flow. Earpiece modifications might include a gap between the conductive speaker and an interior foiled casing. This capacitor would limit the static discharge to the inside of the earpiece and not the ear canal or brain. [link]

Most headphones have some kind of internal shielding, the issue is the quality of the shielding and the ability of the ground to.. ground. But, a static eliminator would be nice, i get a little bit once in a while in these Ohio dry winters sometimes. |
