Assassin Bubbles

Roland loved his new job, with "The Agency".

He set the bubble machine down, in the foyer of the building and started it running. The first bubbles would be in the air before he reached the door.

He hailed a taxi... a shabby thing with a picture of a camel on the side and a driver who bore a remarkable resemblance to the animal.

The trip to the airport was uneventful, as was the flight home.

Roland did not connect the news that several hundred staff at the Iranian Ministry of Defence were dead, with his actions, even when the newsreader said they died when poisonous bubbles had landed on them.

He was the perfect spy...nondescript, rat cunning and fundamentally clueless. He leaned back in his chair, watching his new 110inch LCD TV, that had been his "holiday bonus".

<shameless self promotion> I'll take a gross of these Assassin Bubbles to ship with The Wibble. I'm assuming that a licensing agreement will be forthcoming </ssp>

You get my bun, the world needs lots more bubbles.

What does poison gas weigh in comparison to air? I'm going to have to see some density analysis...
Laimak, Mar 14 2006

You're going to have to do it yourself. If it's too heavy then we'll just mix it with Helium. "The Agency" has a vast pool of funds, to get that sort of thing right.
UnaBubba, Mar 14 2006

//poisonous bubbles had landed on them// [UnaBubba]

Shirley this could mean that the poison was in the soap mixture. Poison gas density calculations are pointless.
methinksnot, Mar 14 2006

I would suggest H2S. Two parts per million and you're daisy pushing, although the gas escaping through the soap film is a scary possibility.

Hydrogen cyanide might be a good bet, or Sarin, or Ricin.

I'd never fall for the old poisoned bubble trick. Oh look! Isn't that beautif...<bump>

When the two donkeys fall out, upon the popping of the bubble, how do they cause harm?
Ian Tindale, Mar 14 2006

Who said they were donkeys? One of them is Jeremy Clarkson.
UnaBubba, Mar 14 2006

       Asses then.
Ian Tindale, Mar 14 2006

Clever Roland. So content, yet blissfully unaware that "The Agency" had embedded into his megascreen a tiny bubble dispenser. In the event that our dear Roland, perhaps in a TV-induced euphoric state, uttered word to anyone as to the nature of his new job, a gentle stream of lethal bubbles would slowly percolate their way out through a hidden nozzle to do away with all the occupants of the room, thereby keeping "The Agency" safe from unwanted exposure.

Poor clueless Roland didn't even have enough common sense to requisition an Assasin Bubble antidote kit. Anyone out there need a slightly-used 110-inch LCD TV?
Canuck, Mar 16 2006

//Assasin Bubble antidote kit.// Ah, that explains why Lawrence Welk's band didn't keel over week after week.
NotTheSharpestSpoon, Mar 16 2006

Damn! Why didn't I think of the Assassin Bubble antidote kit? Oh, because there is none! How silly of me.
UnaBubba, Mar 16 2006

How about poisonous butterflys and arsenic-laced ladybugs too? [+] for a whimsical death.
notmarkflynn, Mar 16 2006

Methinks you guys are missing the obvious. The bubble machine should3n't fill the bubble with a toxic gas.

Instead, the soapy film is what should be made toxic.
DesertFox, Mar 16 2006

I've watched a soapy film before. Quite arousing.
Ian Tindale, Mar 16 2006

       //Oh, because there is none!//

[UnaBubba], you forgot to insert evil laugh there.
NotTheSharpestSpoon, Mar 16 2006

The world's first reported case of assassination by bubblewrap was confirmed by authorities.
