Astrology for Dummies

We are people living in uncertain times, and I figure that means I should have horoscopes delivered once every hour, giving a very specific breakdown of what we should be doing at any given moment.

Eg. 8am: "some of the fruit in your fridge is about to go bad, maybe you should have that for breakfast!?" 5pm: "leave work and walk two streets south, wait there until the love of your life arrives"

To add to the authenticity, these fortunes could be made by an astrologer who is always flying over a place that is one time-zone ahead.

Strictly speaking the astrologer don't have to constantly fly to be one time zone ahead. He just needs to live somewhere with one time zone difference and, amazingly, the two places keep synchronised ...

       Jupiter passes Orion
and comes into junction with Mars
Saturn is weaving through infinite space
to its preordained place in the stars

And I gaze at the planets in wonder
at the time and trouble they expend
all to warn me to be careful
in dealings involving a friend.

if after the first one didn't happen, I'd surely not wait for the second one...

Ah, nice to see a bit of Flanders & Swann grace the old 'bakery, csea.

12:30 - The Gas Man Cometh!

What [csea] said, and with gusto!

It has been said (by Miles Kington, possibly?) that astrology is neither an art nor a science, but a prose style - that's why [rcarty]'s efforts, though fine as to content, wouldn't work as astrology because that content is presented too clearly.

What do you mean the gas man cometh --- are you trying to tell something...?

The sun being in the right-hand house, today offers you more possibilities than yesterday.

Capricorns are always able to stick to their diets, but sometimes choose not to.

       5:00 pm
Librans need to weigh up whether they are still working on what is most important in their lives at this time in the afternoon.

       etc., ad nauseam.
Whaddya think?

       I can't argue with that. :)
