are they using a belt buckle airbag as has been proposed for airplanes? |

I saw the words "back seat drivers" and I thought of a small bag which deploys to shut the old nag up. which I personally think is a fabulous plan. so I'm voting for my first impression + |

You have a talking horse in the back seat of your car? Cool. |

Aren't these (airbags) available, on request, in some of the Benz models? |

This idea got me to thinking about how airbags work so I checked it out on google. Seems like another way to accomplish what you want would be to make a long, slim version clip right onto the front part of a seatbelt. The same wire running to the front airbag could be split and run down along the floorboards to a connecting wire on the clip-on airbag. Your idea seems easier though. |

[UB]: Yes, on the E55 at least. Also available on SAAB. Also, check (linky). |

The A-class Benz even has airbags mounted in the roof. Of course, they have been known to fall over, when dodging elk. |
