Backup Singer

Failover

A singer, much like an understudy, who could sing in the same style and phrasing and energy as the lead singer. In the event of a particularly rough crowd, in which the lead singer gets shot or incapacitated through ballistic influence, the backup singer can immediately accept the failover and finish the very word the lead singer was uttering upon expiry, and carry on seamlessly. A true backup singer.

In all probability, one of the backing singers might well qualify to adopt the duties of backup singer. Also.

Ah, but what happens if they shoot the drummer, or even one of the musicians?

Surely there must be a spare drum machine?

In the case of Sting, you could always just turn him over to the Harkonnen.
