Bagpipe mime

  [vote for,

A street performer silently miming the playing of bagpipes.

The entertainment is provided by watching [8th] enter an irretrievable if/then, yeah but/no but loop.

An idea whose time has come … and gone. [8th of 7, Aug 11 2014]

       As ooposed to noisily miming?
pocmloc, Aug 09 2014

Very much so, though with fewer 'o's and more 'p's.

I trust you will excuse my use of paraëphaesis to emphasise my point.

I thought this was a bagpipe mine. The protruding tubes would give it away, I think.

I was surprised to see the Borg still use ZX81 tape drives as all that backwards-ing and forward-ing breaks the tape, and so the endless loop.

Kind of a dead assimilated-one's handle, as it were.
not_morrison_rm, Aug 09 2014

Hmm, when you think about it....Sinclair comes up with a usable computer, then the Borg come and take all the ZX81 stuff.

But they botch the mindwipe a bit, then Sir Clive spends the rest of his career trying to punt the C5...it all makes sense...
not_morrison_rm, Aug 10 2014

The C5 had a great market just lying there waiting for it, as a kids toy, paint it a range of garish bright colours remodel the chassis a little to look like a fire truck or a space ship & stick some deely boppers on it & they'd sell like hotcakes (for a slightly more modest price, but you can't have everything).

It was just his insistence on trying to market it as serious mode of transport for adults that did for it.
