Big Cozy Bed
Wouldn't practically fit in my present bedroom

An 8’ x 8’ mattress that flows into an ergonomic back support that spans two sides and curves at the corner. The corner of the bed not associated with the back support would be curved. At both corners where the back support ends there would be a 4’ x 2’ table attached by a two part pivoting arm. This way the arms would fold under the tables. The tables would then be able to extend over the bed for eating, drinking, writing, TV remotes, rolling doobies or whatever. This would all be one piece of furniture, would be very well built (no sagging tables) and would be on casters.
Mine would have the drinking tube attachment. See link.

I wanted to describe the corner not associated with the back support using a word I cannot remember. In drafting, what is it called when you curve what was a corner?

jscottpete, Nov 12 2005

Radiusing or, obscurely enough, rounded corners.

bristolz, Nov 12 2005

       hmm....questionable.

shinobi, Nov 12 2005

       [jsp] fillet?

moomintroll, Nov 12 2005

Sounds like a real chore to make up the sheets on this bed every morning.

jurist, Nov 12 2005

Bone it all you want. I'm going to have one of these someday.
I was trying to think of what the command is called in auto-cad.

jscottpete, Nov 12 2005

"Bone it all you want." Okay.

DrCurry, Nov 12 2005

       [drCurry] :P

Should have said: "Bone it all you want. I'll be boning in it!" And I will.

jscottpete, Nov 12 2005

       What bristolz said elsewhere.

DrCurry, Nov 13 2005

       What was that?

jscottpete, Nov 13 2005

Nah, in Autocad it'll be a fillet.

moomintroll, Nov 13 2005

Huh. I thought when I heard it I'd say "oh yeah." Guess it has been awhile. Thanks, [moomintroll].

jscottpete, Nov 13 2005

I'm all for a cosy bed but am having a hard time visualising this particularly with all the bones its getting.

why is a cosy bed a bad thing?

po, Nov 13 2005

Bone all I want? You dont have to tell me twice!

Jscotty, Nov 13 2005

any objections if I slap Js?

po, Nov 13 2005

Yes, I object to negative reinforcement. But thanks for backing me up, po.

jscottpete, Nov 16 2005

"Bone it all you want", that's what she said.

       I had to...

daseva, Nov 16 2005

Generally speaking, I'd be hard pressed to find any variation on a "Big Cozy Bed" to be a bad thing. [+]

Ooh, maybe put a Shiatsu massager in one of the TV facing corners. (an 8x8 bed would require removing some additional furniture from my room)

Hmmmm, well now I'm thinking a full Room Bed might be the way to go.
{Yawn} Well folks, I shall be retiring to the room bed now. nite.

neilp, Nov 17 2005

sp: Shih Tzu, or shit zoo, but not shitzu

I am finally convinced that [jscottpete] and [Jscotty] are different people.

wagster, Nov 17 2005

       In the same head, yes.
