Black Hairbrush Collector

Excellent target for adsorbing solar radiation

A hair brush with bristles pointed toward the sun would make an excellent target for adsorbing solar radiation. A little research to find the best black fiber might be worth the trouble.

As the ray of energy bounces back and forth among the bristles it is sure to find a home.

Some cone collectors work on a similar scheme like a crabs eye lens for example.

If you ask how to get the energy back out again, I'll have to refer you to Dr. Von Braun as that is not my department.

It would be interesting, if you could get a tax deduction for having your entire roof covered in hedgehogs.

Polar bear fur is actually a fiber-optic material. It might appear to be white, and thus look reflective, but it also collects quite a bit of light that is conducted directly to the skin.

Apparently that is a myth. It's not.

Well... is it or isn't it?

       It's a myth that it's a fibre-optic. It's not a fibre optic.
