Bodyboarding Water Slide

(Put here since I couldn't find a category for water slides or water parks.)

I'm sure that many people have seen the new "Halfpipe" water slides, where you go down, then up, then you drop back down, go back up, etc. I was thinking about combining that and the "Master Blaster" technology to make a bodyboarding water slide. You would get on a bodyboard, go to the top, and slide down! Aided by jets of flat water being pushed (much like the Master Blaster's water jets which allow the riders to go upwards) at you, you would be able to fly several feet off the ground and do some spins or something. When you came back down, you would gain about a foot in altitude, and you would keep doing that until you were going about 10 to 15 feet off the ground.

Safety? No problem. The Halfpipe is made out of air-filled floats like the ones you see in carnivals (that you have to climb through), so if you fall down, you wouldn't injure yourself. In case you went off the edge, there would be foam pits surrounding the Halfpipe. (If you went over the lip, the foam would be there, too.)

Beginners could have the water pump slower, so at the end, they'd only be a few feet off the ground, and advanced bodyboarders could have the water pump on full.

Either you don't read the news or the news gave you this idea. Either way a little insensitive to the 100,000 plus who had to deal with the latest Tsunami terminal water ride.

I believe I don't quite follow you. It's a halfpipe. Skateboarding, snowboarding. etc. Just with water. Are YOU totally ignorant of the sports world? (If you are, heh, big deal.)
