Buddhist Wristwatch

Timekeeping for the Beginner's Mind

Buddhist texts indicate that we have been re-incarnated since "beginningless time". This clock is an alternative to the Big Bang Clock which assumes a universe with bounded time (at least on one end).

The Buddhist wristwatch has a single hand that sweeps around the perimiter in a smooth, continuous motion. There are no tick marks or labels, as the time is always Now.

You could just paint the hand on.

No, the hand should move, to indicate the passage of time, but the label saying "Now" should move around the watch face with the hand.

You can buy plenty of wristwatches with no tick marks or numbers.

I prefer to call the govt. service on the phone that says:

"At the third stroke it will be now, precisely."

......Or buy a parrot that can say "now" for a talking-buddha-clock!

can we have a super strong shaolin monk version you can break stacks of tiles with?

I definately think that the hand should move slightly faster than you would expect a "seconds" hand to move this would emphisise the futility of trying to understand it. If it is any consequence I have an Azan Alarm Clock that I bought for a joke on holiday.
