Instead of the usual set of skittles, a range of ornaments
and stacks of delicate china cups are lowered into place
ready for the bowls to smash them into smithereens.
Once they have been reduced to broken fragments, an
automated sweeper and vacuum clears the debris ready
for
the next pallete
of delicates to be put in place.
The actual items are of course all a combination of
unwanted collections and slightly flawed factory rejects.

He had a tall rank of shelving and would line it with donated old cups, plates and glassware. I think you would pay 20p for three balls, and you stood behind the line and threw them as hard as you could. He would clear up the mess and re-stack any holes in the display. He would often have the biggest takings of any of the sideshows. |
