Personalized postcards from you to them | |
In the past, one generally developed their photography film when one returned from vacation. These collections of pictures could be shown to family and friends for endless hours on end.
With the growing popularity of digital cameras, it has become easy to view and print your photos while still on
vacation. Many camera stores will print your photos right from your digital media card. This makes the following idea possible.
I propose a postcard-sized piece of stiff paper with a clear plastic sleeve on one side. On the back of the paper will be printed the standard address lines and stamp area, as well as any country-specific required information.
The plastic sleeve (with one sticky sealable edge) will be used to insert a printed picture of you at your vacation destination of choice. Won't your friends be much more impressed seeing a photo of YOU in front of the Coliseum as opposed to a generic postcard?

Why not just an automated kiosk that inserts an image of you into a professionally taken landscape photo. |

You would not even have to visit the place in question. You could take your required visit to Aunt Millie and have the PostCarderator insert your smiling mug into a Spring Break picture of South Beach. (or vice versa if your wife is the intended recipient.) |

No. My pictures typically suck. I always purchase postcards for myself when I visit places because they are the quality of pictures I wish I could take myself. sigh. |
