Yup! I will get a phone with the display. But that will solve "my" problem. But when the problem exists in such a huge number of phones that are yet to be converted, it is much more feasible to give the feature in a centralized place. With a single solution, we can give the feature to *all* the people regardless of what type of phone they have. |

It s also much easier to add one more button that produces a special dtmf tone than integrating an LCD, making the phone much more cheaper. |

Given that you have to go out of your way to buy a phone without a display these days, and that handsets seem to break every two to three years, this is a temporary problem at best. |

Sorry to churn this, but a caller display is useless to the blind unless it was in Braille, and not all visually impaired people know that. This would be useful for them. |
