Car Rooftop Garage

In essence, a thin hardshell rooftop carrier (say 6" thick and about as long and wide as the roof of the passenger compartment) containing a fold-out garage.

Difference between this and the other 2-3 million valid car-umbrella ideas on the site is that this is larger and more robust (the sides go down to the ground and you can stand inside) and is contained in its own separate case.

Handcrank or electric-motor operated.

What's the purpose of it ? Does it come with a free hose ?
bigsleep, Aug 02 2009

purpose is a garage-in-a-box that can be affixed to a car... Hose and other lawn & garden equipment optional and may require a larger carrier (really it's called a garage to differentiate it from an umbrella or car cover).

[bigsleep] ah, you've got a peek at our Deluxe model prototype. We keep telling Marketing they aren't supposed to drive it like that but what can you do.
