Human Clock http://www.humanclock.com/?s=1
kind of like this? [k_sra, Oct 22 2007]

Steve Urkel http://www.kellie-w...s.com/fm/steve3.jpg
for how high your pants would have to be to make this work. [k_sra, Oct 24 2007]

Note that the hands are elevated above the face of the clock. http://images.jupit.../21/41/23424121.jpg

This guy's been doing it for years... http://www.h-spot.n...es/mickey_mouse.jpg
...and boy are his arms tired. [lostdog, Oct 24 2007]

why do you need a belt at all? don't get it.

k_sra, Oct 22 2007

The belt has numbers on it. The digits of digitized time. Clock Belt.

rcarty, Oct 22 2007

Ticking away at the moments that make up a dull day? Fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way? Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town? Looking for some-one or something to show you the way? Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain?....Thought you'd something more to say?
I think rcarty is implying *we* are *our* measure of time, bun for that.

4whom, Oct 22 2007

I doubt you could show 10:45 for more than 30 seconds without getting tired.

phundug, Oct 22 2007

When did you dislocate your shoulder?
10:45

rcarty, Oct 22 2007

if the belt has the clock on it, why do you have to hold your hands up?

k_sra, Oct 22 2007

Melodramatic actor: Oh, what does this mean?
Audience: 10:45!

baconbrain, Oct 22 2007

Oh my God! Is it 12h30 already?

       No, I've got thong creep.

4whom, Oct 22 2007

The word "digits" confuses me. I would expect the belt to somehow project numbers next to the wearer - e.g., an XII above their head - but that would be very unwieldy. Is that what you intended? Or are the numbers involved just a parallel digital display? (Parallel apparel?)

jutta, Oct 22 2007

I think the purpose of the belt is to alert others that the person wearing it is fact a timepiece, and not merely insane.

Noexit, Oct 22 2007

It's almost 6:30 and both my arms won't align down...

xandram, Oct 22 2007

I bet an amputee could pull this one off pretty dang well.

rascalraidex, Oct 22 2007

Adding a second hand would be a challenge.

MaxwellBuchanan, Oct 22 2007

       not for guys.

rascalraidex, Oct 22 2007

to really be useful, the clock would need to center around the chest, not the belt. arms don't rotate at that angle.

what am i talking about, "to really be useful?" there's nothing useful about this clock!

k_sra, Oct 22 2007

Is it ten of six already? Or are you just happy to see me?

ping, Oct 22 2007

The numbers on the belt are for reference, however the arms are pointed outwards, parallel to the ground. The right arm serves as the hour hand for numbers on the right side and the left arm for minutes on the right side and vice-versa

rcarty, Oct 23 2007

if the left and right hands alternate to show minute and hour on their respective halves, then you will never know when it is actually 9:15 or 3:45.

k_sra, Oct 23 2007

       Unless one bent ones elbow.

rcarty, Oct 23 2007

wouldn't you *have* to bend your elbows if your "Center" was to be anywhere near your belt line? unless you're steve urkel. see [link].

k_sra, Oct 24 2007

On every clock I've seen the numbers have been substantially below the hands. [link]

Our clock like nature is undeniable. Sorry.

rcarty, Oct 24 2007

After time has passed.......I think this is really halfbaked and I would be handing you a timely bun, but my arms are busy. (kicks croissant in your direction)---------+
