In the early days, washing clothes was an arduous task involvong a public fountain, a stout pole, and a lot of mixing fat with ashes to get soap. Reasonably enough, everyone kept one or two articles of clothing, because the cleaning process could take hours each.
These days, we can toss a pile of
garments into a pair of machines, and have them clean and dry before we're done watching a movie. Reasonably enough, we all decided to become fashion slaves, with most of us owning at least enough clothing to wear something new each day of the week.
Unreasonably enough, we neglected to consider the arduous hours of folding and hanging up needed to maintain these clothes in a pristine state once washed.
Not to worry. The laundry hanging/folding machine is now here! It can be set to handle dry or wet clothing appropriately, and can hang or fold all clothes meeting certain criteria.
A pair of articulated arms and rotating gears allows the machine to pluck clothing right out of the washer to be line dried. Laser thermometers with a virtual wetbulb/drybulb feature allows the machine to determine when the clothes are dry, and can pass them on to the next phase.
Near the dryer, a Gallileo brand Sock Matching Machine and a pair of pattented, and automated Farmer John Magic Fingers Folding sticks handle all your sock matching and folding needs. [see links]
Those who wish to have their clothes hung up in a closet may purchase a special hangar-inserter add-on machine. However, the internal logic circuits and automatic scale for determining whether or not an item should be hung up rather than folded are still a little iffy. Magic Fingers folding rods

I would prefer clothes that would be wearable if stored in a big burlap sack on my closet floor. |

You and me both, brother. Someday soon I hope that wrinkled men's fashion will make a comeback, and stay for good. |

Until that great and glorious day, and for all those days where the fairer members of society prefer sleek clean lines, we may as well have something automated to help with the drudgery of everyday existence. |
