Okay, I'm no beverage snob, but I do like a good cup of fresh coffee in the morning. My wife, on the other hand, prefers tea. In fact, she hates coffee!
Oh yes, it's okay for her, she can have a teasmaid. Poor old muggins here has to get out of bed, grind his beans and boil the kettle.
Why, I ask,
is the beverage making industry so coffeeist? Why will they not provide us with a coffeesmaid? Surely it wouldn't be that difficult. There'd be an instant market (excuse the pun).
Okay, a compromise then....
How about a teasmaid that makes tea and coffee? Then everybody's happy?? Maybe a deluxe version that can produce espresso, cappucino and latte as well as Americano.
I can foresee two small problems though:
1. You need to put milk in the teacup - BEFORE the tea, and CREAM in the coffee AFTER the coffee; and,
2. The tea needs boiling water, whereas the coffee water needs to be off the boil (about 5 seconds) before being poured.
That's about it, other than arguing/deciding which side of the bed the machine should live.
Any comments/ideas?

Hi canny, Im a U.S. er and never heard of a teasmaid. But there are machines that make expresso and regular coffee. they get bigger with each added function. I picture this huge stainless steel espresso, cappuchino, tea etc. bar next to your bed. It would be like sleeping in a 7-11! enjoy |

The make home expresso machines which are pretty compact...I don't have one to examine, but I'd guess about the size of a four slice toaster. I don't have one of those for reference either. If you each had separate machine, there'd be no issue about where they go. |

Oh dear. You've completely missed the point! |

This would be a small machine that would sit on your bedside cabinet. About the size of a toaster. It would have an alarm clock and radio, too. |

Three minutes before the alarm goes off, the tea and coffee would be brewed and poured automatically. As soon as the alarm goes off, you have your fresh morning tea and coffee waiting for you. |
