Column Beer Brewery
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn anymore (hic !).

Rhett mounted the steps and took them three at a time, stein in hand. He got to the top and paused by the imposing faux marble column in the facade of the magnificent antebellum mansion where he lived.

He bent down by the column, flipping a small tap and holding the stein under the ensuing stream. The pewter mug filled rapidly with chilled, dark amber fluid, clouds of tiny bubbles rising to the surface in a rich, white spindrift.

As he sat on the top step, looking out over the seemingly endless fields of genetically modified cotton plants he mused on the possibility of sampling all 30 flavours today, one from each column.

The boys from Column Beer had been yesterday, and topped up each column, as they did each week, arriving in their private plane. You had to have money, and lots of it, before they would deal with you but that was to be expected. This microbrewery idea was fantastic. Life was good, and Rhett had never been so happy.

semi-baked, gravity in amatuer breweries is a force to be beckoned with

Yes, [Robert C], antebellum means the period before a war, usually the American Civil War.

Helicopters are nice, but a Gulfstream IV is a lot nicer.

       Wouldn't dream of it.

And the new gameshow "Bowling for Column Wine"?

Wouldn't the tap be at the base of the column?

Beautifully described, from someone who professes not to enjoy beer.. +

Need to invent a low-rent model. Perhaps filling the beams of the ceiling with beer and running a tap to about shoulder-level. Or the coulmns of the porch. Much lower volume, but perfect for backyard cookouts.

I figured to use the height of the column for settling and filtration and put the pump and refrigeration unit at the base of the column. The staged brewing and filtration occurs from tank to tank, with the early hopping and malting processes occurring at the top, where it would be warmer.
