BorgCo are now offering yet another brilliantly innovative product just in time for the Christmas season.

The Contact Lens Clock is an elegant solution for those who can't be bothered to open their eyes to check the time.

The clock itself is an optically configured contact lens with OLEDs embedded in the outer surface; around the circumference is embedded an induction coil for power pickup from the provided PowerSpecs, and the clock electronics, plus an ultra slim battery.

The clock is charged during the day by the field generated by a coil in the spectacle frames, and adjusted by a superimposed pulse train.

When the eyelid is closed, an optical sensor triggers the OLEDs to activate, providing a time display directly onto the cornea through some appropriate micro-optics to ensure clear focussing.

Both analog and digital displays will be offered.

I'd like the numbers big and reversed so that others can read the time in my eyes. Preferably with hours on the right eye and minutes on the left so that at 12:25 I'd look like this:

The embedded optics do that for you.

How about a version with a rapidly spinning image, giving the wearer Hypno-Vision?

It' s bad enough knowing time is slowly flowing by but to have, in you field of vision, a constant reminder of the drips is the pits.

That's right. The very best in expensive sparkly toys.

Please, do try to keep up ...
