Criminals are, by and large, not that clever. For evidence of this, we need look no farther than the "lotteries" that some US police services run every so often, advertising that certain persons have won prizes, which they come to collect from an office filled with armed police.
Criminal currency
works on the same basic principle. A short advertising campaign lets everyone know that the "new" five and ten million dollar notes are now being dispensed from certain ATMs in Hollywood, for use by such notable luminaries as Paris Hilton, Eminem and a bevy of other super-rich societal parasites. Details are also given of businesses where the new notes are being spent.
Criminals flock from all over, to rob the stores and ATMs, unwittingly exposing themselves to arrest. In the event they do actually make off with an ATM or cash register full of $5,000,000.00 bills, they can't spend them anyway, except at other "sting" shops.

Does Paris know she can't spend hers? What if you tell her not to but she does anyway? And what would she buy at the "sting" shop? Stingy stuff? I think you need to think this through a little more. |

Anyway this is widely baked in the form of government bonds. |

Paris doesn't know shit from shoe polish, from what I've seen. |

The side benefit of this is that Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and all of the other bimbo princesses of skanky-panky either end up locked up or they get their celebrity fix by being arrested every day. |

Either way, I don't much give a rat's arse what happens to them. |

I don't think any criminals dumb enough to fall for
this are enough of a threat to justify the time and
money to pull this off. Interesting idea though. |

That's most of them, [Joolin]. Criminals tend not to be masterminds. |
