For those who want the appearance of a
wooden floor, but the luxurious warmth of
carpet under their bare feet, there has
until now been no middle ground.
Deep Pile Distressed Durango, is a carpet
that takes the form of a series of
individual narrow strips, woven to
resemble the wooden
finish of your
choice. A randomising weaving algorithm
ensures that no two strips are the same,
by creating the infinite variations of the
whirls and knots which characterise
natural wood. Wooden Carpet

I thought woven & deep pile were mutually exclusive. Or an oxymoron. Or was that anachronistic? I forget. I guess what I mean is how can it look like wood when the carpet fibers are 2 inches long? Level-loop, I can understand, but deep pile? That's a shaggy story, xenzag. |

How can it look like wood? - well it's a
bit technical, but each strand has colour
variations on its shaft, so that if
combed over in groups, the hue is
revealed
to a greater or lesser degree. The same
technique could probably be used to
create a wooden hair style. |
