In short, a dental implant that reports via wireless connection dietary intake over a period of time. Reports on Iron, Riboflavin(?), Calcium, Alcohol, and other consumed goods to help a person plan a a more balanced diet. Can be installed permanently, or temporarily to help doctors, dieticians, and other medical professionals diagnose patients. Helping to do away with taking stool samples, and aquiring bragging rites from drinking.

       Assuming that you can make this little sampling lab into something the size of a tooth, there remains a problem. How is this thing going to tell the difference between one piece of chocolate eaten very slowly and a whole bar eaten at speed?

       I think the idea of in body monitoring is a good idea, but what do you mean by implant?   

       If if were glued onto a tooth possibly, or part of an impanted tooth when it had been lost, maybe.   

       However dental surgery is agonizing, most people cannot implants because the loss of teeth damgaed bone too or they are allergic to implant material (like myself), and many patients who get implants report constant enduring discomfort.

       Perhapse this could be attached over, or to many teeth, providing an array of sampling points ... and you make a very interesting point, xylene about "discomfort" ...
