A submarine in an oil filled tube on your desktop. Not a sophisticated submarine, just a glass one with a carefully calibrated density that reacts to the temperature of the oil (Galileo thermometer style).

Under USB control. the temperature of the oil can be varied to control the depth of the submarine.

The enterprise edition comes with a network controller which turns the sub into a compass and a one track subscription to an online music store for "I'm riding along on the crest of a wave".

I see the desktop reference, as do I see the USB, Thermometer and sub references - what I'm stuck on is the brain bit - where does that come in?

Submarine depth = depth of thinking. Kind of a desktop mood indicator for your brain.
