Detecto Shift

The idea is basically build a browser plugin that is uses the
spelling checker and grammar checker of Microsoft Word or
something similar in the back ground to automatically
correct
things like grammatical errors etc. i use Chrome and it
does
quite a good job with spelling usually. i just
think that a
grammar engine would also be handy.
this would start to work on input areas with the type
'TextArea' after a certain number of key strokes.

//does quite a good job of spelling usually// yes, but there are tens of thousands of other words in the English language. |

My G1's spellchecker automatically capitalizes the first word of
every sentence, automatically adds punctuation in words like
aren't, ain't, and didn't, as well as periods at the end of
sentences if I tap the space bar twice, and capitalizes the word 'I'
automatically. I'm having a hard time seeing how your idea is
any improvement over existing programs, and your vague
description hasn't helped. [-] |
