I forget how much I love this place, until I see something like that flat witch.

Thank you, Jutta. This is obviously a labour of love.

New half croissant, yum. http://www.halfbake...ditorial/logos.html
No inflationary increase in cost, either. Now that's the benefit of the dictatorship. [calum, Nov 02 2006]

       ditto, made my (early) day

I've recently pondered wether or not the developed world's association with terrorism, evil, and their (our) own antithesis has led to a diminished celebration of the dark arts. Thanks for promoting a delicately fine balance, [jutta], if it was ever your slightest intention.

daseva, Oct 31 2006

       Trick or treat!

Ling, Oct 31 2006

       excellent start to the day.

There's no place like it.

Jinbish, Oct 31 2006

Nice. I wouldn't have seen it but for this idea because I usually use the "lr" version of the Halfbakery.

Ha! Laugh out loud funny. When I first logged in today the tag line beneath it was 'Results Not Typical' :0)

Mine said //Joy! Rapture! I've got a brain!// - an allusion to the scarecrow?

Why is Ronald McDonald mechaniKin' that thar pastry dish, and what's with the big chocolate drop?

ConsulFlaminicus, Oct 31 2006

Made me think of an old T-Shirt my buddy had. The New Kids Under the Block. Multiple legs and arms and some blood all under a giant granite block.

Chefboyrbored, Oct 31 2006

Has anyone else noticed that the image filename is 'hc-boo-splat'?

angel, Oct 31 2006

I got "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain" and a whole bunch of other Oz references you can find for yourself (not making *that* mistake again). And "Veni, vidi, teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini," which I hadn't seen before - cute.

       Lovely work [jutta]

       ...If I only half a brain. *thanks Jutta :) :) *

phundug, Oct 31 2006

"Some people without brains do an awful lot of talking."
"It's always best to start at the beginning."
"Oh dear, I keep forgetting I'm not in Kansas."
"Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my!"

UnaBubba, Oct 31 2006

Look out, it's the Wicked Witch of the Yeast!

phundug, Oct 31 2006

       //Wicked Witch Of The Yeast//

       Wasn't that Madame Mao?

UnaBubba, Oct 31 2006

Very funny, the whole dern lot of ya are! Thanks jutta, needed that.

Ding, dong, the witch is bread!

shapu, Oct 31 2006

You guys are sweet. I mean, horrible. I've taken the liberty to work some of your Oz-puns into the seasonal tagline file. Thanks!

jutta, Oct 31 2006

       Crois and witch.

Love it! Thanks, Jutta, for all the fun.

baconbrain, Oct 31 2006

Check out the buns on that witch!

UnaBubba, Oct 31 2006

+ Even though I am a day late, my bun has brought this work of art to its true status!

xandram, Nov 01 2006

       Hear, hear, xandram!

dbmag9, Nov 01 2006

Is it just me or is the now restored croissant picture looking more high-def (or otherwise generally snazzier, I do not know the proper terms)? *googles* Ah, so it is. No eye test for me this year, then.

calum, Nov 02 2006

I'm with you, [calum]. I noticed right off that 'Our Lady of the Croissant' was no longer mysteriously depicted among the flaky folds and wondered why she had departed. Thanks for the [link].

jurist, Nov 02 2006

       It's a much sharper logo.

[jutta], have you been playing with photoshop again?

shapu, Nov 02 2006

More accurately, I've stopped playing with photoshop and let someone else do the photography and postproduction... In retrospect, it's amazing that I could get results as bad as they were - or that my esteemed photographer didn't twist my arm to have this reshot much sooner.

jutta, Nov 02 2006

Good stuff, jutta. Crisp, clear and just a little bit flaky. And the new photo's good too.

lostdog, Nov 02 2006

Except that we now look like an entire community of flaming idiots.

New folks will be scratching their heads, and saying "what the hell are these people going on about".

Or we could pretend like it's still there and keep referring to her curled up toes, and stripped stockings. Poor little dead witch. ;-(

blissmiss, Nov 02 2006

/Except that we now look like an entire community of flaming idiots./

       Didn't we always?

egbert, Nov 02 2006

Or we could kill someone for real and stuff the body under the plate. (Candidates?)

       Superb Calum

blissmiss, Nov 02 2006

You need a candidate? Just look around you, [missbliss].

UnaBubba, Nov 02 2006

Nah, putting a flattened 'Dustin' under the plate and trying to pass it off as Shroedinger's cat would never work.

jurist, Nov 03 2006

That's the funniest anno I've seen in a while.

UnaBubba, Nov 03 2006

//Look out, it's the Wicked Witch of the Yeast!//

The Wicked Witch of the yeast is bread! ----or ---- The wicked itch of the yeast is dread!

Ling, Oct 31 2007

Shit, I missed the little croissant/cupcake thingies jutta made yesterday ;-(

blissmiss, Nov 01 2007

Is there an idea here? [-]

simonj, Nov 03 2007

[simonj] There was an awesome representation of the Wicked Witch of the West's legs coming out from under the plate last Halloween. This Halloween were the cutest dressed up buns. (If you don't see it on that day, it's not here the next day.) It would be nice of you to remove your fishbone. ;) jutta works hard. (click on the link from [calum] and you will see!

xandram, Nov 04 2007

       ok, de-boned.

simonj, Nov 04 2007

thanks, that is nice of you.;)
