Most modern disposers have an opening on the bottom for the insertion of a hex key in case of the jam. The socket is directly connected to the bottom of the motor.

I propose a centrifuge that bolts onto the bottom of the disposal, bolting into the holes originally meant to hold the bottom plate on. The shaft of the centrifuge extends up into the disposal's de-jam socket. This way, the strainer is powered by the disposal motor. There's another socket on the bottom of the centrifuge in the even of a jam. A simply U-connection in the plumbing would connect the disposal to the strainer. This strainer might be more convenient because it usues less electricity, is easier to install, and takes up less space. This would probably be a better option for disposers with slightly more torque A.K.A. not aparment models :)
