Pinhole Cameras installed on head lights and tail lights of cars that wireless transmit footage to servers, for whatever reason. These cameras can be activated by the owner's of their cars to record stuff at 30 second clips and upload. Drug dealing on your street? Press record remotely to your parked car, or drive by and send footage to cops. Harder to trace from which car it was sent and no witnesses necessary. Powered by engine-rechargable batteries. Better than CCTV. Maybe for accident liability too.

Annotation:

Well baked by cyclists, usually used for their own defense in accidents etc. Some have secured convictions of their vehicular assailant based on their video footage. The use of video cameras in cars for similar purposes has been discussed fairly widely, though your specific suggestions of mounting the cameras behind the lights, and the automated upload you intimate, may be new.

This is really my "lets all" idea to replace crime cameras.

I just read the title as some kind of surveillance by colonoscope, suitable for extreme Police states, and certainly one way to get to the bottom of things.

Yes, and I figured it baked in the porn world.

Yes, well, you would say that, wouldn't you ?

Somebody had to do it, and I couldn't be certain how long it would take for one of this lot to screw up their courage.

Fie, egad, 'tis never long to wait before a HalfBaker screws up something or other ...

Ordinary people screw things up. Halfbakers screw things sideways. The best ones screw things in one or more of those extra dimensions required by string theory.
