Simple: On the sides of glazed or sugared doughnuts, create a small protrusion of dough that is spared the sticky stuff and instead lightly dusted with flour. Picking the confection up by this protrusion will keep your digits unfettered by sweetness.

       Would most likely break off, especially when dunking. Bags of'em would be filled with broken-off handles that due to their lack of sweetness, would never get eaten.
