I bought my wife a Tomtom for her birthday today/tomorrow. (that is a brandname for a navigation device)

My daughter has a toddlers laptop that says things like: well done! if she presses the right button.

I would like such a feature on the Tomtom.

Lady says: turn left here

I turn left

Lady says: well done!

I do not exceed the speedlimit

Lady says: You are a responsible driver!

Just a little positive feedback and encouragement. Soon I'll be talking back to it.

Lady says: you have reached your destination, phew we made it in one piece!

Once you arrive at your destination, it could play you a little victory tune. [zen_tom, May 29 2007]

Easy enough to build into a Tomtom, and should be able to be switched off. But not truly new and amazing, though it would sell. I threw in a croissant, just to balance the Autoboner.

Is there a "doubtful spouse" setting?

"Did you mean to turn there?"

"I'll bet you didn't hit that tree yesterday."

       "Smile politely for the officer."

       Bun.

Every one in a while, it should be wrong, admit its mistake, and politely apologize.

"You've made good time... but you can do better. Next mile & 1/2 in 180 seconds. GO!!!"
"Off the brakes"
"Full lock left, back right."
"Chicane ahead"
"New lap record!"

       *That's* a feel good SatNav.
