This would be a tobacco pipe which has optical fibers going from the bowl to a pixilated sign that is suspended above the inhale tube which has some kind of picture or writing on it. This way, every time you light the tobwacco in the dark you see a picture of Johnny Chimpo or something.
I dunno,
perhaps the pipes could be designed so that these fiber-optic-pixel signs could be interchangeable with different storebought signs or even fully customizable with an assortment of storebought tinted fiber colors and a dot-matrix of plug in holes on the sign screen.
