Find the mouse
Initially large mouse becomes normal size with use

In researching this site to see if this is redundant, I am struck by how many ideas relate to the lowly computer mouse!

I have recently migrated to a laptop computer for home use, and have it set to "sleep" to conserve energy when not in use.

I sometimes find it hard to locate the mouse as the computer "wakes up" from sleep, and find myself shaking the mouse (optical) to try to see the small cursor on the LCD screen.

Why not have the mouse pointer icon displayed initially large for identification, then smaller as it is used until normal sized?

Annotation:

I tap the <CTRL> key, and Windows helpfully homes in on the cursor with a series of circles.

Select [Start] - [Control Panel] - [Mouse]. On the 'Pointer Options' tab, there's a check box for 'Show location of pointer when I press the Control key'
