Billy has been told to clean his room by his mother. But Billy sees no problem with his room, even though his clothes are everywhere, school papers clutter the landscape and toys are intermingled with empty candy wrappers. There is no room to walk, and a misstep might result in a bayoneted foot from
a green plastic soldier.
"But it's natures way, mom!" Billy challenged, long before any introduction to the concept of entropy. "Wheres they lands they lays" he insisted. "Besides, I know where everything is!"
It's no wonder Billy's mom gave in and bought the Floorganizer. The Floorganizer is a plastic floor-covering that is divided into sections to help even the laziest sod organize his room. There are sections labelled walkway, toys, garbage, soiled clothes, unsoiled clothes, school work and so on.
Now all Billy has to do is let gravity do the work for him as he always does, but just apply a little energy to the object with his foot, out of the designated walkway space and into its proper classification. To Billy, even this is a reasonable allowance.
Only if he gets an allowance.

this reminds me of no 1 son's room complete with all my tools hidden under his bed and I still possess three glass milkbottles full of his loose change. when I see his own house now, I cannot believe that its the same person. |

These exist already in the form of draw-string laundry 'baskets' that can be laid out on the bedroom floor, onto which clothes can be gayly discarded with abandon, prior to being gathered up for "traitement à la maison des laveries automatiques". |
