Plenty of people doing charity marathons, bungee jumps etc. Why not collect votes *as well as* smaller pledges.
These could be based on a five to ten year term. That would give enough micro-votes to possibly change social policy on a few things.
That any government had a system that would respect
a majority vote on any one issue.
