Free, high quality, application based, plotless, online, first person shooter game. Players can log into different perpetual worlds, personal or public, or create transient worlds for a quick play with a group of friends. This game wouldnt focus on developing a character but instead just on navigating
a three dimensional indoor/outdoor terrain and killing others. Different play modes such as teams or every man for him/herself could be chosen. Of course capture the flag play mode would be available. Game deaths would be fairly frequent on average.
Each time your character dies a 15-30 second ad must be viewed before returning to the game. This would pay for the service. Furthermore, there could be advertising in the cyberscape. But I assume that is already done.

So... take something that's widely known to exist and make it free? I'm sorry, but how is that an original idea? |

[Marked-for-Deletion] Widely known to exist. The US Army sponsored an online game exactly like this several years ago (I think it still exists) and advertised it extensively. |

Try Tremulous or TribesNext. Both are free and good quality, and don't have ads. |

I'm not a gamer, but I think the idea of "your punishment for losing is watching an ad", is actually a rather novel one. [+] |

About to peruse the wikilist. I had glanced at it prior to posting this. Not sure if any of them actually meet all the requirements. |
