Greenhouse Earth
Induce a green house earth by nuking the huge chinese open cast coal reserves - better global catastrophy now rather than later

If the greenhouse effect is going to cause ecological and human disaster surely it would be better for it to come sooner rather than later. If the population is greater than it is now when the changes start to hit home then it is likely that more people will die from famine, war etc .. because a) there are more people to die and b) because carrying capacity of the earth will be closer to being reached, so leading to a much more precarious system. Also the later the changes come the more likely nuclear weapons will be more readily available, aswell as other forms of weapons of mass destruction, this means any wars and skirmishes will be more devastating the later the changes occur. To reduce the overall suffering we should pre-empt global warming. This could be done by setting fire to all the earths open cast coal mines (there are some big ones in china) and manufacturing as many cfcs as possible.

Any takers?

Let's see: we might have an ecological catastrophe down the road, so let's create one right now just to be sure? [marked–for–deletion] bad science.

...for forcing the fifth revolution of mankind? How about we all try to fix the problem instead.

If you can convince Wolfowitz there is a clear and present danger here then it should be a done deal.
