Say goodbye to muzak.

Local bands shouldn't only play in restaurants, bars, and on street corners. Bands could set up in hardware, grocery, and shopping centers to entertain customers. Stores might battle to win customers with favorite bands.

Baked, locally. At a large Mexican grocery here in Phoenix there are strolling mariachis. And jugglers. The place was like a circus the day I was there.

How ironic it would be if the live bands played in the "easy listening" style of Muzak.

Baked in Century City - Gelson's. Live classical music while picking up chick(en)s in a meat market.

Funny. While everyone agrees that it's baked, it gets only croissants. I think the point is "more live bands everywhere".

Back when I was in my first band ages ago, there was a new mall opened not far from where I lived that had live bands play every Saturday afternoon. We played there a few times. Very odd.

       Psst. [waugs], what instrument?
k_sra, Jan 24 2004

Keyboards or bass, depending on the band. Keys in this case.

Vandals, playing tonight? I need groceries ...

At first I thought this was an idea about grocery store owners forming bands.

I had this idea a while back, but didn't phrase it so well, or put a different spin on it. So naturally I think it's a great idea. I recall the basis for the idea being that I wanted a punk rock band to run in and start playing loud, anti-establishment music while I was eating in the cafeteria. Then they would yell "FUCK THE SYSTEM!" and run off to get suspended.

Heh. Only if you're in the habit of repeating your mistakes.
