Peter, I deleted your link proving this idea "Baked" because it bore no relevance to the idea. |
| |
Please try to understand that I no longer derive any amusement from this practice of yours. |
| |
I usually let posts sit on my ideas irrespective of their relevance. I am now prepared to make an exception for you. |
| |
UB - are you envisaging some kind of personalisation mood engine which picks a tune to fit the topic you're looking at (e.g. Battle of the Banjos for 'Lazy River Office') or is it random, or is it a user choice thang? |
| |
I hadn't thought so far ahead. It could be a personalised thing, or simply an option to add to the idea when you post it. |
| |
That way everyone with a sound card and speakers would get the music you chose to go with your idea at the time. |
| |
Begs the question... what would Rods Tiger choose for something like Cheese Taps? |
| |
I enjoy Dr Hook's The Freakers Ball - no matter what I am doing!!! and it seems perfectly apt here! |
| |
"I hadn't thought so far ahead." (in reference to how the 'idea' works)
Then why post? |
| |
I like the thought of being able to attach a specific piece to my ideas. I know that it's easy to misinterpret a writer's intended tone, and I think being able to add a little music could go a long way in helping to have your idea read in the spirit it was intended. |
| |
Because, phoenix, I thought of it first as a random selection played from the 'bakery server. It hadn't occurred to me there could be several other ways to decide what was played. |
| |
How about colour schemes as well? Classic black and white for Charlie Chaplin some psychedelic or Dr. Hook. |
| |
"Chaos At The Greasy Spoon" by Hatfield And The North on THE ROTTERS CLUB Album seems suitable for the site. |
| |
[bluerowan], no colour scheme even comes close to the classic B&W we currently enjoy. |
| |
TW, Helter Skelter? It was good enough for the Manson family. |
| |
I lived in Los Feliz for 5 years - I once unwittingly wore a Charles Manson T-Shirt to a yard sale next to the address on Waverly Drive where the Manson 'Family' murders of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca took place - didn't go over well. |

That must be the golden standard for "unwittingly." |
