Take the top current 10 ideas and make them actual working VR models . Use some of that raw computing power of the modern machines . Some of the puzzles like treating the world as a rubics cube or a recursive jigsaw puzzle could easily be built . Engineering ideas would easily be understood with an explodable 3D working representation . Gooey or messy ideas might need some advanced physics engines . Actual virtual travel through a watermaze might be quite cool . Race underwater subs or play astro-pool against other halfbakers . Physics laws could be bent with programming if idea was great enough .

(-) "Wasn't that cool, the idea I read on the halfbakery? Wouldn't it be neat if it were virtual reality?"

Building models, virtual or real, is work. If you want to build a model of something - and apparently you think it's easy - go ahead, knock yourself out; but what's the point of telling other people to do the work for you?

Obviously the model building isn't easy enough yet. An idea before it's time .
