A silent alarm for your body

This would simply be a silent alarm built into your belt that could be activated by pushing a piece on it a pre-determined number of times within a short time span. It would be easier to use than a cellphone, where you'd have to ask your attacker to hold on a minute while you dialed 911, but share a cellphone's ability to be located to within a 50 foot area while in use.

You could bluetooth it to your cellphone. Then all you'd need is a small bluetooth device, which would take up much less space and energy.

Or, you could build a cellphone into your belt. Just strap it to your head for normal use.

World - I was thinking the components we'd need from a cellphone could be built into the belt. Putting a whole phone in there might make it a bit bulky.

The option of bluetoothing it to the cellphone would work if you could be sure the first thing the theif didn't do was smash or toss the cellphone (if you happened to have one). They'd be a lot less likely to take off your belt and toss it.

The main benefit of the belt over a cell phone is that attackers don't know about the belt device. But if the belt device becomes popular, kidnappers will just take away our belts when they take our cell phones.

Your idea could inspire people to have all their loved ones put 911 on speed dial, and keep the phone on a belt clip. That way, the cell phone becomes a panic button.
