Helter Skelter Helter Skelter

You pay a small fee and begin your ascent to the top of the helter skelter. As you climb, the recorded voice of Charles Manson tempts you with strange devil gibberish and sixties music blares through bad mono speakers. On the stairs and walls are chilling warnings finger-painted with red paint to simulate blood scrawls.

Once you reach the top an actress who resembles a pregnant Sharon Tate helps push you down the slide. As you go down it becomes apparant that the interior surface of the slide is hollow and made of clear plastic and red paint is channeled through it so it seems as if you are sliding down a semi circle tunnel of celebrity blood.

At the base you are given a small mint by a lecherous man and ushered towards the merchandise booth.

And here was me expecting some kind of giant helter skelter, on which the smaller helter skelter rides, I'm sure this idea would scare me away from the fair for a very long time.
