Whilst there are apparently some models of cars that already do this (Camaros, Impalas in the US, Geminis and Toranas in Oz, Hillman Hunters in NZ, etc) I don't believe I've ever seen it listed as a feature of a vehicle, in any motoring magazine.
The concept is simple. Each car, when manufactured,
contains a small rubber bladder filled with a persistent herbicide. Once it is past its useful life and abandoned in someone's front yard it releases the herbicide, killing the grass around it for some distance.
This has two beneficial effects: Long grass and trees will not grow up through the vehicle; Vermin will be less likely to take up residence in the vehicle.
Note: This will not affect the number of huntin' dawgs potentially resident in the vehicle, in the future.

Problems with the neighbors? |

You got anything for deer? |

A fire in our street (specifically, a fire involving a Fiat Regata in our street) last week prompted the idea. The shell is still there. |

You'd think they'd put the fire out after a week. Especially in the street.

Judging from what I saw today, minivans seem to do the trick. |

There was a bush burning, too. We managed to put it out. |

Moses must have been pissed. |

Not half as pissed as the driver of the Fiat. He had to walk home. |
