This drone would support a holder for a single mug or glass. It would stay roughly in the same place relative to a person based on a hand signal. It would hand off the drink holder to another drone when it were time to return to base and recharge.

//hand off the drink holder// Better to have a second recharging drone that flew up and attached a fast-charge tether, quickly topping up the drink-holder drone's battery.

The drinks-holder drone could be i/c engine powered, and then in-flight refuelling would be easier.
