Focus enough of the heat from the back of a refrigerator into a container which holds a honey bowl. This would solve the problem of hard honey in the winter. don't use a bird feeder to store your honey

Put it on top of the fridge. Plenty of heat there, usually. |

I keep my Hunny in a plastic bottle in the dog's bed, since he is the closest thing to a bear to which I have access. |

Top of the fridge doesn't cut it for me. Tried that [Una] |

Wow! It's gonna be an uncomfortable winter, I guess. |
|
| |
Here goes... try smearing it on your body. if you're cold enough for the honey to go hard then rigor mortis is about to do the same for you. |
|
| |
I keep my honey on top of my CPU. Plenty of warmth there. |
|
| |
I'd rather be smearing the honey on a significant other. There is my solution. Warm the butter on her belly and the honey...oh, but who is it going to be?:( |
|
| |
I just boil a little extra hot water when making tea, then I immerse the honey container into it for a few seconds and Viola! Runny Honey! |

That is a lovely photo [po], well found. |

The idea is so-so, but I'm giving it a vote purely on [po]'s link. It's been five minutes and I'm still laughing. |

how does one focus refrigerator heat? surely lenses work best with radiant light ie suns and ants. |
|
| |
If it's that cold in your house, would your refridgerator even be running? |
|
| |
One does not focus heat unless it's radiant heat. The delta-T behind the refrigerator is not likely to be focusable. If you can find a neat way to violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics, I'll read that as a separate idea. |
