I'm reasonably certain we could entice Saddam away from his cosy situation in Iraq.
All we need is a blanket immunity and a team of milliners (hatmakers). I don't know whether I'm the only one who's noticed, but he wears some seriously weird hats.
Perhaps a weekly, international competition,
to design hats for him?
First prize each week could be several million US dollars, collected from the entry fees.
(?) I'm late, I'm late...

Could this idea be classified as a weapon of mass distraction? |

So, if we dress marines as white rabbits and make Bush wear a gingham dress... |

A popular comic strip in the Los Angeles Times today depicted a math teacher in front of his classroom explaining that in spite of the fact that Portland schools were going to have to close several weeks early this year because of a 9.5 million dollar budget shortfall, the US government was going to go ahead and spend a minimum of 50 billion dollars to wage war against Saddam Hussein. The math teacher just shook his head when a student volunteered "That's like a hundred times more than what we need!"
(sotto voce: In case you missed the funny part, the student incorrectly estimated the disparity by a factor of 50+. Thus, the math teacher cringed.) |

This reminded me of a comic's wisecrack that I recently heard in which he lampooned the size of the US military budget. "Considering the amount of money we spend on the military instead of education", he said, "is it any wonder that we have smart bombs and stupid children?" |

I hope we never get to the point where we consider taking up collections for Saddam's hats. I'm far more concerned that we have already missed all the "important dates". |

's true, jurist - talking with a friend tonight, she said SMCC has dropped 115 classes due to State budget cuts. I bet Saddam would like a Propeller Hat

Seriously serious moustaches as well (as 'wax picks out so well in his graphic). I wonder whether the UN inspectors have looked in there yet. |
|
| |
I don't think hommous counts as a WMD, unless laced with botulism. |
|
| |
All we are saying
Give chickpeas a chance |
|
| |
I'm sure that botulism is used in botox treatment - maybe we should be looking out for Saddam and his cronies with big fat lips... hidden underneath moustaches... |
|

(later: [UB]: Oops So I am.) |
|

Botox is used for removing wrinkles. You are tinking of collagen injections, for the bee-stung lips look. And Methuselah begat... |

I think he'd look smashing in a nice straw boater, or perhaps a leather newsboy cap. |

Nah, that was "receipt for a bloodless coup", as pictured in the Hatter's hatband in my second link. UnaBubba knows that recipes aren't allowed in the halfbakery. (We're like Coca-Cola, in that respect.) |

Unless it's a recipe for Rats' Asserole. |

Just lean over the lawn, and yawn. |
|
| |
Just one more WMD wordplay? Oh please? Well I'm going to anyway, so there. |
