I would love an ice cube tray that makes it easy to pick out one cube at a time. I don't have an ice bucket, and I rarely use ice. So my cubes are usually half sublimated before I need them. Which makes it hard to pull them out.

I envision a tray wherein the bottom of each resorvior is shaped like the pop-up button on a pickle jar. You just push the button and the cube jumps out!

Annotation:

I think a lot of cheap plastic trays work like that - the plastic is thin enough and flexible enough that you can just push out one cube at a time - some have little dome-like buttons on the bottom outside, maybe to help with the geometry of pushing with a finger...

I was thinking a sufficiently powerful spring-ejector. Ice cube fight!

Just get a fridge with an ice-maker. Then you can deal with the fun of screwing around with it when it malfunctions.
