Fireworks displays have traditionally been a large-scale, large expense entertainment, directed at those people inpressed by loud noises and pretty lights (horses don't like them much, by the way).

New to the market is a range of fireworks to be enjoyed in the privacy of your own home.

Tiny Catherine Wheels, miniature Cherry Bombs, absurdly small aerial shells.

Though tiny, these little beauties pack a punch. If you let the kids loose in them they could well blow your trailer-house apart at the seams... wouldn't that be fun?

Amaze your neighbours! Baffle the cops! Imagine the fun you'll have this New Year's Eve, when you invite friends over for a glass or three of eggnog and a fireworks night!

These are baked. You used to be able to get them in newsagents in the UK. Weird things like sprouting black snakes and mini Roman candles. Can't seem to find anything on the web though - must've fizzled out.

I am aware of indoor fireworks displays in public venues, but not inside homes.

Man, I live in a sheltered country!

They were hugely disturbing, I recall.

I thought indoor fireworks were a complete waste of money and a load of rubbish when I was five years old.

       What do you think now?

Er ...... this is Baked. Quite definitely. And lots of fun, if a little expensive. But not excatly commercially available. And don't do it of you have a smoke detector in your house, or particularly nice carpets or furniture you treasure. But it can be done, and it is done.

I could tell you more, but then I'd have to kill you ....

I've seen small aerial shells, spherical ones, suspended by wire inside sports arena and stadiums.
