I've just spent 6 hours recording and valuing everything that we ave on hand, for insurance purposes for the new year.
The Inventoribot is like a search engine for your premises... going through your house day and night, assessing each item and "scent-marking" them with a little barcode of invisible
UV dye and making a note of what each item is, and where it is. Of course, it has to be allowed to sniff and spray everything on the way in, but that's not too big a problem.
Result: Instant inventory and marked for ID in the case of theft/misplacement.
You'll always know where your refrigerator is, at any time.

Zulu, my 11-year-old moggy, (who thinks he is a dog, even down to taking on and beating the crap out of two German Shapherds every time they go past) has been extremely interested in the Christmas presents under the tree. He has sniffed them, climbed on them, bitten a few, turned some small ones over. |
